Bloody idiot stupid people lite a fire in some fields behind on near the edge of our farm. The Natives who own the said land lite it. It doesn't really matter who lite the fire because they are stupid! and should know better! The fire is now in our fields; our hay fields and cattle pastures heading towards our house/cattle and hay. So we called the Native Band to tell them, they where no help. So we called 911 and talked the police and fire department. So right now the little local fire department is out there stopping it.

If it had kept going it would have hit our house, our hay and our cattle pens (since they are all in the same place) which are full of bulls, pregnant cows, and new born calves with their mothers. The wind is blowing right towards house/cattle right now. I don't care about the house, my worry was the animals. I phoned my dad (since it's just mother and I here) and he told me (this was before the fire department got here) that if the fire came close to the cows I was to go out there and cut all the wire on the fences so the cows can just go free which was my plan too. Lucky it hasn't come to that but I was getting very worried and very upset before the fire department arrived. Right now they are using the water from our dugout to put the fire out which is some ways is bad because that's the water for the cattle for the summer but IMO it doesn't matter right now. Pulling the fire out matters, if worse comes to worse we will just water the cattle from the house in the summer.

Who in there right minds lights a fire in a dry fields full of dead glass on a hot windy day and then leaves it to burn!? What kind of person is that stupid? This is bloody Saskatchewan, it's nothing but dry hot windy flat glass lands. The fields everywhere are just dry dead glass which is slowly starting to green. This fire could have cost a lot! Our home, our cattle fields and buildings. When this is all over with I gotta go out there and check it didn't burn down any of our fences (most likely did). We are already going to get a bill for all this because the fire department charges to come out and fight your fires. Which we are giving right to the band to pay.

This is just so stupid! My dad was out here for a week and just went back to BC this morning. He's too far away to do anything now (about a 7 hour drive) and now he has turned around to come back here.

I just can't believe people's stupidly and thoughtlessness. I'm still a little worried. The Fire department is running around like mad which worries me but I'm sure it'll be fine. Just a HUGE scare that's all. We've only just moved to Saskatchewan, calves got sick and now this. What else can happen?

The big town grader has come out. Now I'm starting to worry again. There goes our fields since they must be digging the land in front up to stop the fire. Plus another bigger fire truck went back to the fire.

The fire is contained:) The guys cut down four fences and dug up some land but it's wroth it. IT might keep burning a little bit but it should be over. The fire does indeed look like it came from the Native land. Well at least the worst is over with.

I'm sure many people have already hear about this but I haven't till now so I'm sharing. My brother phoned me today and told me Doctor Who got Rickrolled and it was in the top 5 in 'around the net' on Attack of the Show. I got my ipod back today with a letter saying it had water damage and thus they didn't fit it. So I phoned Apple and was told the email I got was wrong and it would cost $150 to fix the problem. I said I could buy a new one for that much and he agreed. He asked me if I wanted to challenge the claim so I said yes. The people I talked to where so nice I didn't go the bitchy root my brother suggested. I felt that would be too mean on the poor people I was dealing with. That's always my problem, I'd feel too bad to be a bitch 90% of the time. So I talked to another man about the problem and told him my thoughts ( that it had problems since the day I got it and about the water damage) and said I didn't want to pay $150 and that I'd take my business else where in the nicest way I could. He said he phone me back. So he did less then a hour later and said that they believe me and will replace the ipod free of charge. He was very worried I was unhappy with Apple and would go else where. I told him everyone had been very nice and helpful and now this is all sorted out with my ipod I am not unhappy anymore. Thus I have no reason to go anywhere else then Apple for my needs. Nice/polite but firm works much better then bitchy when dealing with nice people.

I couldn't be more happy and relieved that it's going to be fixed with no charge.

A little while ago I went to a concert and the warm up act was this wonderfully talented man called Micheal Kaeshammer who dazzled me with his piano playing. And helped me fall back in love with the sound of the piano. So now I can't get enough of that kind of music so any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated.

Can any one recommend some good soft songs with piano. Songs like Aimee Mann's 'The Scientist' or A Fine Frenzy's "Near to You". I'm not asking for a download links to any songs (I'd love if someone had some though), just the name of any songs & artist you know that might fit the bill.

I can't get the caps from Fires of Pompeii to do anything! *cries* The coloring is horrible! Too red, then too yellow & red, I can't change it to anything good. I've tried and tried. I've posted my problem on icon_tutorial One lovely person answered me with some general helpful advice but I still can't get any good coloring out of the stupid caps. I've tried caps from different makers (since one person's caps where more yellow and less red) and it helped a little but not by much. I had all these ideas too! I wasted my artwork time on trying to get some good coloring out of the caps and I didn't get any work down on my fanmix. I made a really good cover, something I think is good any way, and now all I have left to do is make a back cover which is proving harder then you'd think. If I made something easier for the front cover it's be so much easier to match the back cover up now. Oh well I'll think of something. I'm going to try tomorrow to get the back cover finished and do something with these stupid caps. Unless someone calves, which my ex- 4-H cow looks like she's going to do any second. I felt the baby today (if you push on the a cows tummy the calf will kick you it's very cool trust me) and the baby kicked me very hard which in my books means good things:D Plus she showing all the other signs of getting ready to calve non of which I'll bore you with.

Some people seem to get good coloring out of the stupid caps. I would ask how they did it but I asked them before about coloring and I was given a link to icon_tutorial and told "I use more then one kind of coloring" as answer. I'll either get a half way good coloring out of the caps tomorrow or hit my head till my icon for icons go away.

Anyone ever heard of or read the Mouse Guard. I'm finding it to be a very good book. Another calf born today, lovely little girl. Bad news my dog is still missing. All I keep thinking is he must be hungry by now:( I'm making up signs to put in town. This being a farming community I don't know how much good it'll do (houses being so far apart not close to town) but it's wroth a try.

After watching the new DW episode I thought I won't make any icons because so many people have made icons and there are only so much you can do with one episode, you get sick of seeing the same photos over and over. Least I do. That said I feel like making some icons after I made the emotional baggage one. So if I make enough I'll post those in a few days.
