Bloody idiot stupid people lite a fire in some fields behind on near the edge of our farm. The Natives who own the said land lite it. It doesn't really matter who lite the fire because they are stupid! and should know better! The fire is now in our fields; our hay fields and cattle pastures heading towards our house/cattle and hay. So we called the Native Band to tell them, they where no help. So we called 911 and talked the police and fire department. So right now the little local fire department is out there stopping it.

If it had kept going it would have hit our house, our hay and our cattle pens (since they are all in the same place) which are full of bulls, pregnant cows, and new born calves with their mothers. The wind is blowing right towards house/cattle right now. I don't care about the house, my worry was the animals. I phoned my dad (since it's just mother and I here) and he told me (this was before the fire department got here) that if the fire came close to the cows I was to go out there and cut all the wire on the fences so the cows can just go free which was my plan too. Lucky it hasn't come to that but I was getting very worried and very upset before the fire department arrived. Right now they are using the water from our dugout to put the fire out which is some ways is bad because that's the water for the cattle for the summer but IMO it doesn't matter right now. Pulling the fire out matters, if worse comes to worse we will just water the cattle from the house in the summer.

Who in there right minds lights a fire in a dry fields full of dead glass on a hot windy day and then leaves it to burn!? What kind of person is that stupid? This is bloody Saskatchewan, it's nothing but dry hot windy flat glass lands. The fields everywhere are just dry dead glass which is slowly starting to green. This fire could have cost a lot! Our home, our cattle fields and buildings. When this is all over with I gotta go out there and check it didn't burn down any of our fences (most likely did). We are already going to get a bill for all this because the fire department charges to come out and fight your fires. Which we are giving right to the band to pay.

This is just so stupid! My dad was out here for a week and just went back to BC this morning. He's too far away to do anything now (about a 7 hour drive) and now he has turned around to come back here.

I just can't believe people's stupidly and thoughtlessness. I'm still a little worried. The Fire department is running around like mad which worries me but I'm sure it'll be fine. Just a HUGE scare that's all. We've only just moved to Saskatchewan, calves got sick and now this. What else can happen?

The big town grader has come out. Now I'm starting to worry again. There goes our fields since they must be digging the land in front up to stop the fire. Plus another bigger fire truck went back to the fire.

The fire is contained:) The guys cut down four fences and dug up some land but it's wroth it. IT might keep burning a little bit but it should be over. The fire does indeed look like it came from the Native land. Well at least the worst is over with.

I'm sure many people have already hear about this but I haven't till now so I'm sharing. My brother phoned me today and told me Doctor Who got Rickrolled and it was in the top 5 in 'around the net' on Attack of the Show. So I looked it up and couldn't stop laughing they couldn't have used a better scene to Rickroll. Spoilers for Planet of the Odd:

I got my ipod back today with a letter saying it had water damage and thus they didn't fit it. So I phoned Apple and was told the email I got was wrong and it would cost $150 to fix the problem. I said I could buy a new one for that much and he agreed. He asked me if I wanted to challenge the claim so I said yes. The people I talked to where so nice I didn't go the bitchy root my brother suggested. I felt that would be too mean on the poor people I was dealing with. That's always my problem, I'd feel too bad to be a bitch 90% of the time. So I talked to another man about the problem and told him my thoughts ( that it had problems since the day I got it and about the water damage) and said I didn't want to pay $150 and that I'd take my business else where in the nicest way I could. He said he phone me back. So he did less then a hour later and said that they believe me and will replace the ipod free of charge. He was very worried I was unhappy with Apple and would go else where. I told him everyone had been very nice and helpful and now this is all sorted out with my ipod I am not unhappy anymore. Thus I have no reason to go anywhere else then Apple for my needs. Nice/polite but firm works much better then bitchy when dealing with nice people.

I couldn't be more happy and relieved that it's going to be fixed with no charge.

A little while ago I went to a concert and the warm up act was this wonderfully talented man called Micheal Kaeshammer who dazzled me with his piano playing. And helped me fall back in love with the sound of the piano. So now I can't get enough of that kind of music so any help anyone can give me would be much appreciated.

Can any one recommend some good soft songs with piano. Songs like Aimee Mann's 'The Scientist' or A Fine Frenzy's "Near to You". I'm not asking for a download links to any songs (I'd love if someone had some though), just the name of any songs & artist you know that might fit the bill.

Anyone ever heard of or read the Mouse Guard. I'm finding it to be a very good book. Another calf born today, lovely little girl. Bad news my dog is still missing. All I keep thinking is he must be hungry by now:( I'm making up signs to put in town. This being a farming community I don't know how much good it'll do (houses being so far apart not close to town) but it's wroth a try.

After watching the new DW episode I thought I won't make any icons because so many people have made icons and there are only so much you can do with one episode, you get sick of seeing the same photos over and over. Least I do. That said I feel like making some icons after I made the emotional baggage one. So if I make enough I'll post those in a few days.

Now I've seen some different kinds of "save the show" fan campaign like spending peanuts to the network or taking out full pages ads out, driving a truck with billboard around and group get togethers but this has got to be the best one I've ever seen! I don't even watch the show but this is just too good: Moonlight Blood Drive How that is a proactive fan movement! It will help so many people, gets attention for what they want and from what I know goes well with their show.

Now I live closer to a city I wanna give blood. Only draw back is a can barely get a small blood test from the Doctor without almost passing out. If I where to pass out they could just take the blood anyway right? This is something I'm interesting in because when my grandfather almost died in August one of the thing that keep going was many blood blood transfusions.

So bravo to Moonlight fans!

I know no one on my friends list is really interested in farming or cattle so I'll keep this very short and to the point:

New farm sucks. Miss old farm. Bulls got out into non-fenced area around the house. Had very large panic attack. Had to call a friend to help get them in. Big drama. A cow had a prolapses cervix. Phoned vet who told us to walk to cow so it'll go back in. Walked said cow till she got so angry she stopped walking. Cervix did not go back in. Vet had to come out next day as this happened at night. Before vet arrived the cow got it's stupid foot catch in the side of the squeeze. Had to take out cow go out squeeze. Didn't get her back in before the vet came. Cow won't go in squeeze, she stopped moving [again]. Tied her up and vet sewed her up. Stubborn cows have upsides sometimes as she didn't move much....few days later... Cow went into labor but calf was coming to fast for me to cut all the string in the way the vet told me. Had a small panic attack. Finally cut string - everything alright. Pulled calf out - healthy little girl. Everything good. Went to check other cows found a new born calf (who must have been born at the same time I was working with the other cow). Packed the 80-100lb calf into barn. Arms then hurt. Everything fine....hours later... idiot bulls out again. Had lager panic attack. Had to call help again. Got bull back in. everything clam again...waiting for next disaster with a heavy heart. *sign* miss old farm. Arms still hurt.

I'm very happy with all the wonderful Doctor Who stuff we are getting. All the clips, interviews, mag scans and photos. I'm in a huge Doctor Who mood so much so that I've almost forgotten it's Torchwood's last episode this week. With all the new stuff coming out I'm rather worried about the end of the series. ( SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS for series four... )

I deleted the title and sub tilte on my LJ as I want to change it. I know what I want to change it too but I'm not sure if the saying makes sense to anyone other then me. Remember the painting class I said was going to take. While after two lessons I made this: It's my first real painting, I did watercolors for school a long time ago (years) but nothing like this. The Subject matter (fields and that ugly road isn't what I wouldn't have been my first choice but I think that's great. I tired something I never would have before. I don't think I'll do anything else on this painting as the next class (which in is two weeks) will be how to paint buildings. I really like the sky, I think it's my best bit. I don't like the dead tree or road but hey I'm still learning. Anyway I could talk forever about painting but I don't won't bore you any longer with it.

One question what do you think of it? I want truth but if I'm ever going to get better I need to learn what to work on (besides dead trees and roads lol)




oh another matter I click a spoiler thing on a Rose&Doctor community and went AHHHHHHHHH! Bugger I wish people would clearly mark thing...and that I had more will power. But believe me if I knew I would have got the will power to stay away. It was a filming report that gave away something I think is big and it had two photos, you couldn't see a lot but enough. And I didn't even read the reports, it's just one thing stood out and I was stupid enough to read it then I saw the photos, then I closed the window.

Also I haven't seen the latest episode of Torchwood yet and finding it very hard to stay away from spoiler, mostly from icons but they are mostly Jack/Ianto shipper stuff so I care little about that.

I know on one likes a long post but I still find myself saving up my news for one longish post. Thus I broke it down into this: So you can read just the bits you are interested in, if any.
